Off and on been working towards rejuvenating a little 1915 Dutch carbine, fire lapping with Clover compound to polish up a century's worth of improper care. When I first got it there was iron grit falling out of the rifling. Now it's cleaning up to where paper patched bullets will produce good viable ammunition. The plan has been for a small game cast bullet gun. Looks like I'm almost there.

I've read about paper patching, and came away with the impression that it can give some pretty impressive accuracy. Looks like a lot of work...but I suppose it can become a labor of love!

Here's one to give any conscientious gun owner bad dreams. These are polishing rounds that were set aside to dry before being cleaned up for firing.
