Does anyone have an update on the rut situation in Jones County? I'm starting to see some good rubs and scrapes but no chasing. The bucks seem to still be in Batchelor groups.

few rubs here and there but the past month our bucks have almost disappeared... not hitting food plots, protein feeders or corn!
shinnery has too much forage and a good acorn crop this year. need a few good freezes I guess....no rut activity yet either

I'm not far from you on the Shackleford-Stephens county line. Rut has started here. I live on the ranch and am out almost every day. This heat slowed things a little, I'm sure their rutting at night with this moon. Real early and real late is when I'm seeing some hard chasing. The front this weekend will really kick things into high gear.
