I watched him work a doe for 10 minutes this morning. I went and checked some cows drove back by about an hour later and he had her hemmed up in the same spot. It was all I could do not to make him dead. I think he'll be a trophy next year if he makes it .

WOW,what an amazing deer! I would have had to shoot that one. Did it just come down to personal preference? Either way its a great deer!

He might be better next year but then again we might have a dry year and he won't be better than he is now. He's a big mature buck and I'd put a bullet in him but that's your call.

The max inside spread looks to be even with the ears to me. That right ear is not in a normal position. The left ear is from this angle and this deer is well legal

He's legal for this ranch its MLD. This just happened to be this bucks lucky day he wasn't in my pasture. I probably would have still past him anyway he's the best looking mature buck I've seen on this ranch so far. I've seen what letting one go another year will do if he doesn't go across the county rd and get shot. Maybe my buddy will loose all control and shoot him before he does even though he said he wouldn't. I think his youngest son should kill it.

The left ear is from this angle and this deer is well legal I'm not sure what "the left ear is from this angle" means but even on the left side the inside spread is about even with his ear tip. Anyway, it's a 5.5 or older deer. He's not going to get much better and may get worse.

I think he was tryin to say that the right ear isnt up in the alert position, and from the angle the pic was taken it appears the left ear is. Id bet that deer has a 14 or 15 inch earspread not 13" and is perfectly legal. People get so hung up on thinking\believing that all deer are 13" from ear tip to ear tip. Quite a few deer in fact are closer to 14-15 inches once they mature
