If you have a pic on a game cam with a buck that has one side broke off, is that a good sign to try rattling?

No, a good sign to try rattling is rubs, scrapes and an overall good doe to buck ratio. Conviction and confidence in your rattling also help a lot. Give it a try and see what happens. Having rattled in a few the last couple of years, it is a very satisfying and exciting thing to see them trot or even run into horns. That said, be ready to lay the wood down if it turns out to be a shooter you're looking for.

I like to rattle when I see multi bucks cruising. Or if I know the rut is about to begin, in full swing, or just about over. My best rattle secession was 5 bucks in 45 min. 2 of them came rushing in.
