Man that 10mm Kool Aid tastes so good... 45 yds, slightly quartering away. The absolute pole axing of this round is impressive, and the slide mounted optic makes all the difference.

Have you done much pistol hunting? The more I hunt with a pistol, the less a rifle appeals to me.

Nice Job KC.
I have not hunted yet with my g20 yet, but I will say I truly feel a little better walking to that blind opening morning in the dark with her strapped to me side.

Please shed some light on this. What round were you using? I'm asking because I shot a pig this past week at 50 yards with my 460xvr and 275gr Barnes. Knocked pig down, after a little squealing and shaking she stopped. 5 minutes later she bolted. Review of the video footage showed great shot placement. This is the 3rd pig that has walked away from being shot with this round, never any blood. I usually find them the next weekend from the awful smell.
I see people reportedly killing pigs with smaller less powerful rounds at the same distance, what gives?

2 things- Shot placement and bullet performance. If you shoot a pig in the shoulder or behind the shoulder like you would a deer, they can easily go a long ways before piling up. I shoot in the neck area if running or moving. Behind the ear shot if the pig is still. These are lights out, DRT shots. The pig won't move. I shot a sow last weekend in the neck with 300 blk out 125 grain SST- DRT. The other pigs went to running, and I shot a second small one slightly back in the shoulder (running), and it ran about 40-50 yards before piling up. Perfect shoulder shot, but pig still ran a little. Pigs are fairly tough critters, so you have to break them down.
Also, you are shooting a heavy 275 grain Barnes bullet in a 460. Barnes are good for one thing- penetration. In a hand gun, velocity is down, so bullet expansion will be decent, maybe even reduced some, but not as good as a lead bullet. Solid copper bullets do not have the shock that a lead bullet does. The lead bullet will have more shock, and will have better terminal performance. If your shot placement of the 275 Barnes is in the neck area, it will work fine. If you shot placement is in the shoulder, shock will be reduced, therefore the pig will run further. Sure, it's a dead pig, but often a longer trail before they expire. After loading ammo for many big game hunters for many years, I have had multiple hunters come back and want to switch to a different bullet. They go back to a good lead bullet, like a VLD or a bonded bullet.

Are you talking about a cast bullet or a jacketed bullet?

Chad, once these are shot up, at $75 for 20 rounds that likely won't be very soon, I will be switching to a 360gr lead bullet. As it is, the Federal ammo I'm shooting is moving just over 1900fps at the muzzle. I wanted a head shot but as usual she wouldn't keep her head still. This is what I'm leaning towards next time https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=126Sorry to derail from the op

This gun is going with me on an elk hunt next year, I need to know it will perform.

I know a 300 grain FPGC bullet out of a 44 mag rifle running about 1550fps will knock the tar out of, well, basically anything!

I was actually shooting Sig 180 rnfp. I hadn't planned to hunt with it, but couldn't pass up a chip shot. I aimed low and hit the heart, complete penetration of the offside shoulder.

One benefit of the 10mm is penetration for sure. Atleast from my experience it usually passes right through most smaller animals.
