wife took a large bodied ( for hill country ) buck last night at 84 yards. Bullet entered on the point of the shoulder as it was slightly quartered to her, broke that shoulder, shredded the heart and lungs and came to rest on the far side of the hide.
cut the bullet out and it was a textbook perfect mushroom, just as advertised.
I bought these shells to hopefully give better performance on deer than the V-max's I've been shooting and I wasn't dissapointed

I have heard nothing but good reviews on the fusion line. the theory behind them is they give premium bullet performance at non-premium price. I picked them because finding partitions in a .22 caliber factory load is tough and I didn't want to shoot the barnes TSX. I've had plenty of hunters use them over the years in larger standard and magnum calibers and they performed well, though better than a cup and core bullet in those calibers I couldn't tell you

I do love my partitions but they are costly. I'm still shooting on stock I have. When it is time to buy more components I'm going to give the nosler bonded performance a shot in my 223, have heard nothing but good thins on them as well.

What grain bullet and what was the rifle twist? Looks like the 22-250 fusion only offering is a 55 grain which should stabilize in almost any 22-250.

My 220 won't stabilize the 60 gr Partition, the 65 gr Gameking, or the short fat 64 gr Nosler Bonded Solid Base. Almost will, but not quite. Maybe I should give that Fusion a try.

Don't believe they offer the fusion bullet as a component only loaded ammo.

I have heard nothing but good reviews on the fusion line. I picked them because finding partitions in a .22 caliber factory load is tough and I didn't want to shoot the barnes TSX. First I hunted with them in my 30-06 the first year they came out. Shot two spikes, double lung and neither fusion exited the either animal. I gave the remaining I had away. Haven't tried them since as I reload and don't see a need to use them. Regarding the Barnes TSX in a 22-250, why didn't you want to shoot them. I reload them for my daughter's 22-250 and they have been deadly on whitetail.

I get exits almost every time with the 6.8, usually heart/lung region, and the 95 gr tore through a spike my dad shot Saturday morning. Most shots have been 80-150 yards.

I have seen some bonded core bullets both expand and retain weight maybe too well? A buddy shoots a 300 ultra with 165 grain swift sirrocos. He has shot a couple deer, hogs, and a neck shot elk that were not pass throughs. The recovered bullets were dish shaped about the size of a quarter, the extreme expansion along with not coming apart creates huge resistance and I'm sure shock.

I shoot it in .223 and it's a great bullet.
