I don't know much (if anything) about optics. I would like to buy a pair of binoculars for the blind or when I go public land hunting. These binoculars seem to have excellent reviews. Has anyone here used this pair before?

I have them and they're great. It's all about price point to me. I did my research around the max amount I wanted to spend and selected these. That was my first Vortex product and have bought two of their scopes based on my satisfaction with the bino's.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I have the 10x50's and they're fantastic for the price point. There are definitely better binos out there but not for that price range in my opinion.

I picked up a pair and have zero complaints for what they cost - my buddy likes them better than his comparable nikons and I passed on the bushnell legends for the diamond back

Price point is one of the reasons I'm a fan. Thanks for the reviews. Hopefully I'll be able to make a purchase soon.

I also purchased the 10x42, they are great for the money and can't beat the Vortex warranty

Website says: Compatible with a tripod adapter, allowing use on a tripod or car window mount.

I own a pair and they work great for me.

I have the Vortex 10X42 Talons, nice glass but you will need the warranty soon, just part of being a vortex owner

Buzzsaw, can you expand on your statement of needing the warranty soon? I am looking to buy these same (10x42 diamondbacks) binos soon.

I have had a pair of the talon HD 10x42 and have had no issues at all with them. Not sure what the "need the warranty soon" comment was meant to imply. Nothing but flawless use out of mine... confused2

Search Steiner AZ842 on Amazon. Those are great mid level binoculars made in Germany, same as last generation predator pro 8x42. comparable to Burris signature 8x42.

Am I crazy or are the Diamondback binoculars 10x42 on sale for $165 on Amazon? It says it is the new 2016 model. I have no idea what the difference is.

So the 10x42 is actually $204 and the 10x50 is $224 on Amazon. The extra $20 doesn't bother me to upgrade, but is bigger necessarily better in this instance? What benefits come with the 50?

Looks to me like the 10x42 is $165 on amazon. What is the normal price?

I am trying to make a Christmas list for my wife and wanted some binoculars. I may put these on it.

The ones that cost $165 are the 2016 edition. I have no idea what is different between the $204 and $165 other than appearance. I personally like the look of the $204s.

Now that's a deal! I'll just wait until the sale and order online.

Anybody have a recommendation for a tripod/bipod to use with these binoculars?

I checked with the Cabelas in Waco and they told me that the deal is only in store for the five hours listed. I ended up picking up a pair of Leupold BX-2 Acadia 10x42 for $150 in store.
