Got down to the lease Thursday night for one last bow hunt. I had a great day Friday with lots of bucks including a couple new ones I hadn't had on camera yet this year. Friday evening I needed to bomb one of my box stands for opening morning and as I was walking up to one of my feeders there was a nice 8 pt standing there. I took a quick video with my phone and then I set my crossbow and a Halloween bucket of corn down next to a tree. The buck ran off a little ways but not completely. I continued down my roadway to my box and got it bombed. As I was walking back to get my crossbow I could see the buck eating out of my bucket. I got within about 10 yards of him and he went right back to the bucket before I finally ran him off. I am calling him my trick or treat buck. I will try to edit a video and post it later.
Opening morning I shot this red boar that went 160#. I barely got him on the front of the 4 wheeler.
I was able to take this black boar this morning as well. Date is wrong on camera.
The big bucks eluded me this weekend as I was hoping to get a crack at my #1 buck but he ended up being taken by my buddy that hunts next to me. I'll let him post pics when he gets back from the lease :grin. I did have a nice 9pt that I passed Friday that I hope to get another crack at or hopefully some new bucks will start coming around and give me a shot.
