With our season officially coming to an end, I finally made the time to do some hunting of my own.

Our neighbor owns a bow hunting only property which is by no means a large property but has great quality trophies including Sable and Nyala.

During the week he let me know that he had a bull which had broken one of his horns and wanted to take him off before he had the chance of injuring any other animals.

This was my opportunity and I gladly accepted the challenge.

I've hunted a sable a time or two...such majestic animals. Hope you guys are getting some rain, I was over in July and it was the driest in 15 years I've seen. I took the bull last year--it was a fun hunt...

Great Trophy Sir!

We have had some rain but no where enough. Johannesburg and some other large cities are currently introducing water restrictions due to the low levels in the dams and the farmers are struggling to feed and water their livestock. Hopefully things change soon, especially for the areas most affected by the drought.

eek2 Biggest spike I've ever seen. Awesome animal!

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.
