Much of west Texas, Childress,Paducah and other areas are receiving heavy flooding tonight. We have to drive 6 miles down a red dirt road and it gets bad. Fingers crossed we can make it.

we need it out there, but not a flash flood. It washes out everything when it does this. Slow and steady

Taking our rain coats and preparing to walk in to the stands, but I don't have six miles to walk. My food plot could use some rain, so a good trade off.
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

Ditto here, could use the water. We are barley up for the year, but a good deficit for last month.

Its a red dirt that just falls apart when it gets muddy. Six miles to camp, if i can make it there we got rangers to go hunt.

1.09" in central Texas overnight! We needed it. We didn't get nearly that much in Austin, but we sure need it!. I've been watching the forecast for Llano all week and it seems like they keep pushing the rain chances up, especially for Sunday. Bring it! it'll get the deer frisky

Never complain about rain or baby calves There's a rock carving on our place that says..."A good rain and a new calf are always welcome on this ranch"

Pouring down now in Eastland, and forcast is for 90% on Sunday and 60% rest of the week. Looking like I need to pack my rain boots. Not complaining, I don't mind hunting in the rain. I just don't like wet feet while setting in the stand. Come on Saturday!....I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas morning this year.

Any updates on Hall county, Childress or Northfield? How much rain they got? It was still raining there the last time I looked at the radar. Forecast for 90% chance of more on Sunday and 20% Saturday. We have good all weather roads to camp but after that it's all red clay.

'Don't like loading up in the drizzle and high humidity down here, but if it beats down the dust out west a little, I'm all for it. It's taken well over a year, but the Bronco, aka "The Bloodmobile", more aptly aka "The Money Pit", is ready for launch with me at the helm. Now if I can just figure the gas right to get there. Ozona gas stations should be a zoo tomorrow afternoon. Good hunting to all.

Ozona gas stations should be a zoo tomorrow afternoon. Just one of the many reasons we're heading out this evening rather than tomorrow. ;-) The big Stripes in Ozona was already insane Sunday (lots of hunters towing Rangers, feeders, and blinds), so I'm expecting it to be a madhouse tomorrow.
