Good evening all, Im very new to waterfowl hunting, but will be hunting the panhandle for quail when I get the chance this winter. Id love to maybe do some sunrise waterfowling. Ive heard a little static about playa lakes wma. Can anyone point me in a good direction? I have a canoe and decoys. Im not asking for GPS coordinates yall, just some friendly advice. Thank you.

Playas are tough. Water today dry tomorrow. At least in the panhandle that's how it is.

We hunted around there in College. You best bet is to get the public hunting handbook and scout.
Like Wal said one day you will have water and the next it will be gone. Be prepared to get there early. Most lakes are small and can only hold one or two groups of hunters.
