I commissioned the ag department at the local high school to build me deer blind back in August. Went yesterday to check it's progress. Long story short, they've not even begun work.
So off to Home Depot for material. About 4 hours later this is my progress. I'll finish it up and throw some paint on it. It'll be ready to hunt Saturday.

Looking good, sorry they dropped the ball for this season. On the bright side they may have a dandy of a blind ready for next season now.

Off to a good start

I'm not upset with them about it. But it's crunch time and gotta get it done. We didn't get on this lease until mid September and there aren't any improvements on the place. I've been busy running electricity and water, while making a vintage 70's travel trailer into a usable deer camp. Coupled with a busy work schedule there just hasn't been much spare time for another project. I hoped they'd get the stand finished but it's looking more like December now. No biggy, I'll have this one knocked out in no time. Later, I'll go back and install some Deer View windows and make it a little nicer. But until, it'll hunt.

Doing real good, got a little carpenter skills going on. Don't forget to paint the insides dark green or black.

Yeah, it's going to get painted inside and out. With any luck, I can get it all done after work tomorrow.

Got the last 2 sides on it, door framed and hung. Now to finish the windows, nail down the tin on the roof and paint it. Almost done.
