My daughter has been drawn for the Dec youth hunt at Lake Mineral Wells. Has anyone hunted there? If so, how is it? I know last year there was an 86% success rate. Should I take a ground blind to be out of the elements?

That's the parks office, give them a call on your question. They don't bite.

I hunted there a few years back. They had "blinds" set up on the East side of the property. They were PVC with camo burlap covers. I limited out in 2 hunts. Farthest shoot was 75 yards. I went back the next afternoon just to see if I could help, GREAT people! I put in for it again this year, didn't get it. But calling those folks would be the best bet!

Thank y'all. I called them today and they said I could bring a ground blind to setup next to the blind.
