anyone use varget for their 243 loads? I have a spitzer tip boat tail 95gr bullet.

Some may load Varget, but I saw very poor velocities.

IMR4064 is the chosen powder. Hard to beat in the 243.

Yes, use Varget for lighter bullets like the 70 gr. for kids to practice.

For heavier bullets, IMR 4831 works well for me. Might not be the best, but had it on hand during the shortage, tried it and it works well.

I've only used it with a lighter bullet (65 gr vmax). I've been loading 95 VLDs with Aliant Rl26 and got pretty good results with it up

I have a half inch grouping with 35gr Varget (I think this is max load), 95 gr SST in Nosler brass and CCI primer. This is out of a Remington 700 BDL I bought new in 2000, stock barrel.
