anyone harvest acorns for later in the year?

I decided this year to save the acorns for my trees in the yard. Maybe late December, when most of the natural forage is gone, they will be a good draw. Still need to see if they will flow through a feeder. I've got three, 50 lb. corn sacks full so far.

I think someone on here asked about this in another thread. I thought the concensus was that they only eat them fresh.

If your place is like ours, it won't do any good. They will be eating on akerns up thru Feb!!!
