So is this still considered a pistol and legal without a stamp?

Add a sig brace and a short barrel with no stamp a pistol ( they claim you can not shoulder it either ) not saying you can't away from a range.

Adjustable stock and a stamp with short barrel is a sbr


I have a 300blk with a sig brace ( pistol ) im waiting on my stamp for it to be a true sbr

Primary Arms has them for a bit less and in stock. I prefer the sig brace over just the tube.
