My wife gave me a Browning 25-06 for Christmas a couple of years ago and I can't seem to find a good load for it. She asked me a couple of weeks ago if I'm going to use it this year hunting...ugh...I had to tell her I didn't have a good load worked up for it. So I'd like to find a load that will be accurate so I can use it this year.

Google up the Nosler load data and look at the 110 gr Accubond load suggestions. I use primarily Nosler bullets and have noticed that many of my favorite and most accurate loads in several calibers are the same as suggested by Nosler. Either they snuck in and took my load data book, or I'm accidentally using the right powders and worked up the right loads. Mostly, I shoot Ballistic Tips and have done so for many years. Great bullet, but the Accubond is worth a try for sure. You could probably crank that bullet to 3200 fps or so, and it would be tough enough to hold together on any deer and on those big smelly boar hogs.

I've been shooting 25/06s since the early 60's. I have found that somewhere around 49gr of IMR4350 an a 117-120 gr bullet seems to be a sweet spot in the rifles I have tried. Not max possible velocity, but certainly functional for Texas deer.

That's my load... Very accurate and deadly out of the two rifles I've tried. I get around 3072 FPS with either a 115 NBT or 117 SGK.

Yep, I shoot 49.5gr of 4350 with a Sierra 120gr HPBT Gameking. It is accurate in both my Winchester and my son's Remington.

Your favorite 100 grainer and 57gr of RL-22. Never saw one that did not shoot it well.

52 grains of Reloder 22 and a 117 or 120 gr bullet is most accurate in my Rem 700. IMR 4350 is accurate but a PITA to throw through a measure.

One shot is all it should take.

Short notice. I'd just go with 100g Core-Lokt for the win. Figure out a pet load later.
