I have been out several times at our Palo Pinto lease and have barely seen a dove. I was out two days this week and saw none. I don't think I have seen 15 dove this season. I guess we are not on the flight path.

I'm right there with you. Worst season I've seen in central Texas and I've been hunting over 50 years. There's not even any doves in town, which is really unusual. Hoping the winter split will be better.

I shot more this year than ever before. About 90. But only got two limits. Lots of birds west.

During the special whitening season, we were covered up in em. I remember mowing the dove field and having thousands of em flying over. During the open weekends, I'd shoot my 2 in about 9 seconds and they were all over still. Come opening day, they started thinning out. Was getting 8-15/day but not as many birds around. Very few left around Jourdanton now. Last 2 sits, I've shot at one
