My thought is hold it close to you to give it prospective. The prospective will verify how amazing the fish, or buck is.

It's a photography trick that places the subject very close to the camera, making it look larger. Especially when the hunter is armslength away and looks smaller. You have to use a small aperture, which gives greater depth of field. I've seen lots of guys do this while holding up dead rattlesnakes. They claim the 4 foot average snake is 10 feet long and then blast it all over social media.

I have seen it done a lot in fishing photos, will have to pay more attention with hunting photos. Pictures, especially TC photos, seem to always have a little "stretch" though.

I don't mind the pushed out pictures as bad as I hate people posting a pic of a 125" deer and claiming he is 150"
