Wondering what would be good to plant now for a food plot. Something that's good to plant in the fall. My main goal this year is to attract some deer to photograph. Going forward I may try to integrate food plots into part of my wildlife management plan, but for now I just want something I can get in the ground now that deer like. A lot.
I'm about 50 miles due straight east of Dallas on mostly sandy soil with some clay.
Thanks!

My horse race oats planted 2-3 weeks ago are up about 8" now and green with lots of tracks coming into them...

Oats, is what you need to plant. 100lbs per acre broadcasted will do it.

Triticale wheat.
Won't freeze out and they love it.
