I've read the instructions, I've watched several youtube videos, I "know" how I'm supposed to field strip the wife's P238. But how do I get that damm slide lock off without using some kind of pry tool and marring the finish? I've broken fingernails trying to pull it off. I've pushed on the reverse side "button" as hard as I can. I cannot do it. What's the secret?

You have to get it in the right spot , slide the slide back and pull up on the pin you will feel it when it gets there . It is kind a pain the first few times but it will get broke in .

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

When I first started doing mine it was a pain! Its gotten easier over time. What I did was take a Q-tip and push the pin while manipulating the slide with one hand.

Took me a while but I've got it now. Get the slide in the right position and the pin slides right out. just needed to get a handle on the technique. Thanks all!
