My youngest is finally ready for his first time as the shooter this year. We have spent hours and hours looking at deer and having him show were the shot needs to be placed. This last trip to the range has me confident in his ability. The target was set at 50 yards and the bullseye is 1". Considering his feeder will be at 50 yards, I think we will be successful.

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

Good shooting, no doubt he's ready. What caliber is he shooting?

He's shooting a 223 with 64 grain speer gold dot soft points. My older son has killed both of his bucks with it and both dropped in their tracks.

Yep, I'd say he's pretty dialed in.

Way moreso than I am, if we're being honest.

These are the two bucks my older boy killed with the same rifle. This rifle is fast becoming my favorite. It will be special to have my little boy kill his first deer with it also.

Great job Dad! Very nice. My son killed his first 11 bucks in a row with a single shot .223.
It about practice and shot placement. Good luck to your youngest
