This buck started sneaking into our chicken coop last year as a dink 8 pt yearling. He still likes to eat layer pellets so much he goes into the coop to snack. Worrys the crap outta me that he's gonna spook and hurt himself but so far he just calmly walks out when busted.

He's a 10 point main frame with matching inside mainbeam kickers ~150" so I really want him to grow up.

To bad you don't have better pics of him but he sounds like a bruiser. Good luck.

I'll get some better pics sometime.

And Stub I have pretty much stopped naming animals that are gonna get shot some day. Seems people turn crazy when you kill a named animal.

Is this near Mountain Home (per your bio)? If so, that's a monster.

A. Dang nice buck.
B. Your chicken coop looks like a gorilla enclosure. Very impressive.

Yes it is. But I live in the improved deer pasture. His great great great great grandparents are not hill country natives.

It was a dog kennel that I bought to house my chickens in after dark. It has to be tough to keep the predators out. My German Shepard has decided she will allow coons, foxes, and bobcats in the yard if they take a chicken when they leave.

Nope don't store feed there. He's just a knucklehead. Started doing that last year when he was a dink. Out of the 30 or so deer that hang out by the house he's the only one that likes chicken pellets. And he can't give them up!

LOL, we had a few hand tame deer when we had the farm, had red collars on them so folks wouldn't bust'm, they would kick down a door for 28% floating fish food grin

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.
