I have to credit my SIL for passing along this useful tip in setting up a pop out blind, the type that you first fold out and then pop out each side and top. As anyone who has ever attempted to put one of these up for the first time knows, it can be very frustrating to say the least, even with someone assisting you. By following the steps below, a person working alone can have one of these up and ready in just a few minutes.
Once you let it unfold from the stored position with the sides and top not yet popped open and with the camo side out and showing, the trick is to begin by first staking one side to the ground and then pulling out that side. This will keep that side held in poisition as you move to either of its adjacent sides. Moving around the blind in a circular fashion, contine to each adjacent side until all four sides are pulled out. Stake all the remaining sides before pulling out the top.

The ones I hate are stored in a circle. When ready to put away have to do a figure 8, what a bitch. I have two of those as well, but was able to uncover the trick in breaking them down for storage. Once you have the four sides laying atop each other, grab all four sides at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions and bring the edges together in one hand as if you were starting to fold a paper plate vertically in half. As you continue holding those edges together, reach out and grab the top edges at the 12 o'clock position where the sides are in the middle of their bend. Then pull them under your other hand that holds the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock edges together. It should cause the rings to fold up in a much smaller circle that makes the blind easy to put back in its storage/carry bag.

Don't try to do it by yourself after a 12 pack. It will win.

i don't fold mine all the way down until they've sat in the junkroom at the country shack for a few weeks and are absolutely dry. then they go in the little drawstring bag until september.
