Just got my bull elk and blackbuck back from these guys and they are a total joke. I ended up getting 10 pounds of round steaks and sirloins and 20 pounds of chicken frye and they turned the other 90 pounds into burger. So basically they turned my elk into 75% burger. Definitely sticking with Kuby's after their ill attempt of processing.

90 lbs of elk burger? Even if you wanted it that way, shouldn't that have elicited a call to confirm?
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

That sucks, I have never had a deer processed there but had their product and it is good. Especially the bacon wrapped venison filets, unbelievable tastes like beef.

get you a $19.00 forschner or an $8.00 old hickory boning knife and a steel and you can have it in the cooler before it ever cools off, then cut the final cuts when you get home at your leisure. it'll be like you want it, and you'll have the tools forever

I always process all of my game. I've often wondered if when you take a deer to the processer, if you are getting your animal back? I'd be worried they just mix all of the deer together and give you a bag of meat. If they did, what if you got a old doe someone gut shot and found 2 days later then took it to a process plant? I've no idea if this ever happens, but by doing it myself I never have to worry.
I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

Sometimes I wonder what people know about processing meat. I have heard people ask for a whole deer turned into jerkey, or a whole deer turned into steaks, or etc. The cuts are what they are. You can only cut so many T-bones, ribbeyes etc. out of a steer, no different than a deer or elk. Personally I will never use a processor till I'm not physically able to do it myself... and at that point I hope I do a good enough job of raising my boy that all I have to do is pull the trigger and tag it and wait till he is done with his sit ... I'll do like my old man does, give him a hug and fetch him a cold beer while telling him he's doing a find job just like I taught him
It's hell eatin em live
