Let me preface this by saying this is the first time we have used these heads...

Montec G5 CS 100 grain on my son's bow (approx 51# draw wt) had a clean pass thru and deer was down within 50 yards with decent early blood trail that turned really good toward the end. Shot was quartering away and he hit what appeared to be liver into lung/s (still not sure about second lung but it was all mushy like it had been shot with a bullet). Shot was 20 yards from a tree stand. His first deer with a bow.

Grim Reaper 125 grain 1.5 inch expandable razor tip head thru my crossbow, clean pass thru double lung hit with good entry and exit wounds, blood trail was scant at first and developed into a trickle toward the end. Didn't matter, I watched it drop after about 60-70 yards in a field. Blood trail may have been affected by very dry dirt field it ran in, possibly absorbed/covered some of the blood?? Either way, both heads did their job this weekend.

I loved the G5 for the accuracy and penetration as well as ease of sharpening. However the tiny hole it leaves stinks when you shoot them from ground level. Haven't used a reaper but some guys I know do and they are deadly.

I haven't used the G5 in a long time, but used to use them on hogs. If I shot fixed, I would probably still be shooting these.

Never used the Grim Reaper but have thought about it. If I wasn't as happy with my blades as I am, I would probably give them a try.

I have been using G5 Montecs for 10 years and don't really see a need to change them to something else. With a dog that loves a blood trail guess I am spoiled in a way cause I really don't worry how much of a trail it leaves. His nose is better than my eyes at following one anyway.

I shoot the t-lock broad heads. Same diameter as montec I believe and its a 3-blade so I would assume similar performance. I have only killed 4 or 5 animals with my bow, but it has never ceased to amaze me the amount of blood an arrow wound produces. Makes even the best blood trails ive gotten with a rifle look like a trickle! That said I guess I haven't had a poorly placed bow shot yet.

Razor sharp is key. A dull head will leave you wanting.

I love the grim reaper. Killed a lot of deer with them. But I've killed a lot of deer with a bunch of other heads too. To each his own.

Slick trick 100 Magnums here. I have shot a buck and 3 pigs so far. 2 pigs and the buck went maybe 40-50 yards and the last one was a boar and he just turned around mad at the world and then fell over 5 yards from feeder. I had blood sprayed about 5 yards from where he was standing in a circle when he spun around.

Montec G5 here as well.

Keep em sharp just like my fish hooks.

I love my QAD Exodus so far.

muzzy trocars for me. the only thing i dont like about them is the teeny tiny itty bitty allen wrench to remove the blades for sharpening. If you are not super careful its easy to strip them out. had to get the allen wrench that small on amazon

I shoot NAP 100 grain Thunderheads.

ive been using slick trick magnums for over a decade. they haven't failed me when it wasn't my fault with shot placement. ive never broken a blade with them either. ive killed over 100 animals with them throughout the years. wac ems are another great bh that I have used. I shot them when they first came out 13 years ago. they are the basis of the G5 and wac ems are a better version. if I didn't have such great success with slick tricks, I would prolly shoot wac ems again.
my wife just recently started shooting magnus stingers. magnus has been one of the better bh for a long time. longer than most bh have been available.
