A month ago, at 8 weeks,we took her to Galveston we had a beach house, she loved the water. Took her to Ray Hubbard Windsurf Bay Park, they have sandy beach swim area, figured that would good to slowly work our way into the water...

First retrieve land...This tennis ball was Molly's.

Then a beach retrieve....

Then I go for a little water retrieve, I throw it just a few feet into the water and she jumps right past it, I'm like OMG!!! eek2

Then she runs around with it for a while but she finally brings it to me. lol.

She loved it, cant wait to take her back out...

Awesome! Exactly how I started my pup 9 years ago. Love those puppy days!

It's awesome when they first start doing water retrieves.

They're called water dogs for a reason. Neat watching them hit the water the first time.

happy3 Awesome that she likes the water and jumps right in with lots of energy. The 2 labs I have right now are 6 years old and have always just walked into the water casually.

Sounds like she's got the drive. Congrats she's a good looking pup.
