First it was antler points. Then it was B&C score. Now is maturity. What will be the next criteria before a Buck Deer can be taken?

Maturity, Hmmm. I know some people that are more mature at 16 than some at 50. Is it the same with deer? They may be mature at 3 and not at 6?

It really started with weight.
Way back when they put weight ahead of antler configuration
But now deer learned to be comfortable with their bodies and we don't want to fat sham them so we dropped the weight issue
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I haven't seen any "maturity" criteria listed as anything other than a personal preference.
Some people have preferences on caliber of rifle, gun or bow, wide or tall, typical or non-typical etc.
Please link where someone has said or implied "maturity" should be accepted harvest "criteria" for anyone other than themselves.
Pretty silly "criteria" since "maturity" isn't even an agreed on measure.
