This little gun is scary, these are not supposed to shoot like this, especially if a crappy shooter like me can do it. barrel is too short, the stock is not free floated, the trigger is very good but HEAVY, makes me jerk the trigger. , picks will be up later just got back from the range, Time for football (nap).

I'll post pics this evening during Silver Bullet Time.

cheers

Ok I'm trying to develop a whitetail/axis/blackbuck hunting load. Sako 85 Bavarian Carbine, 20" 6.5 X 55 Swede. I like the accuracy but will it have enough oomph to get the job done??

That's a great looking rifle! Do you have all of your scopes mounted that high, or is it tough to find a low set of rings for a 85 Sako? I never see a new Sako with the scope down where I like it.

Yes it is kinda hard, if you also notice, I need to mount them as far back as possible. For some reason most rifles standard LOP is a little long for me. You may have seen pictures of my Ruger #1 on here. I had to buy a soecial rail mount to get proper eye relief for a 20X scope.

If you are JERKING the trigger and know it, you need to consider that those groups are just a happy coincidence! It is definitely a beautiful rifle and im sure it will shoot plenty well.

Very nice! I know I'm not supposed to be, but I'm pretty envious of your toys.

The trigger is adjustable. It's so adjustable that I backed my Finnlight all the way down and I feel pretty confident it was about 8 ounces. It says from 2-4 pounds but I'm calling BS on that because wind could have set it off. Cranked it back up to a crisp 2 pounds. Also, you may even have a set trigger, as it is an option from the factory. Have you tried pushing the trigger forward to check?

No on the set trigger and yes, I need to quit being lazy and bitchin, and adjust the trigger. I just didn't want to take action out of stock.

That's my only regret on mine is not getting the set trigger. Buddy has one on a Varmint stainless and it makes shooting off the bench for groups sweet.
