Hello folks, finally made the decision that it's time to give an Aoudad hunt a go. Looking for free range or HF. If anyone has some personal experience and suggestions please feel free to toss them out or PM. Looking to do the hunt Jan-Mar of 17. Thanks in advance.

Mulie Mike on here is out in west Texas...Nothing but good reviews for him and has some awesome rams..Search his name for pics...

Mike is the go-to for aoudad, free range or high fence.
foristerexotics.com is where I shot my sigline ram.
Also saw some GREAT rams here: huntlc.com

I hunted with Mulie Mike group.... West Texas Hunt Organization last year. One of the best hunts I have ever been on.

Like anyone else who has hunted with Mike that's my recommendation. I also would suggest heading west for his free range hunts. I have zero issues with hunting high fence though. I both hunt and work on high fence ranches all over this state and other states. But when it comes to sheep they belong in the mountains. There is something special about climbing up and down the mountain glassing for that big ram. I have shot some really good trophies of many different species but my hunt for auodad in terilingua will always be one of my favorite hunts. My ram did not break the record books at just over 30 inches but the pride and happiness I have in that animal and hunt huge. I have never recommended another hunt as much as I do this one. I try to refer it anyone that will listen. It's just over a year since my last one and I always try to talk my buddies in going back with me. Good luck on your hunt I hope you enjoy it as much as I did mine.

I hunted with Mulie Mike a couple years ago ( didn't hunt Aoudad) but it was crystal clear from talking to him that that is his first love,and Ive never seen any negative comments from anybody that hunted Aoudad with him! This forum alone is full of reccommendations!

West Texas free range is the only way to go IMO. These are incredible animals, fantastic hunts.

In case you haven't figured out who to call, start back at the top and re read. There are other great outfitters on here but, Mike is the go to guy for big free range Aoudad in Texas. I have been with him twice (29" ram on first hunt, 34" ram on second) in the last few years and will be booking again hopefully sooner that later!!
