Anyone know of a reasonably priced air pump that plugs in to your cigarette lighter that works fairly well? I would prefer one that does not get hot and that does not short out, but that will work more than 2 minutes after it is plugged in. Seems like I am always buying one, but it is because the staying power of these glorified bicycle pumps don't last for more than 2 uses.

The smitty ones that alligator clamp to your battery.

Best $100 a spent in along time from car tires, trailer and even tractor tires.

The cheap cig lighter ones are hell on your fuses and electrical system

Bought one from Walmart, does great. Have a 6 person rubber boat takes no time also has an adapter for sucking all the last bit of air out.

I've had good luck with the Black and Decker Air Stations. Home Depot and others sell them for about $50.

Thanks,
Rich

He's right.

THESE are widely regarded in the off road world for being an amazing value for the money. I've had one hard mounted behind the back seat of my truck for years, and haven't had an issue out of it.

The one I bought at Walmart was a Coleman. Forgot to mention that.
