Is this brass fairly reliable and forgiving?

I am helping a friend sell off a box of reloading supplies he acquired from a family member. It has a bunch of 44-40 and 45LC brass in it. The problem is it is very dirty, some of them have corrosion from the lead bullets on them. I was going to clean them and sell if they are salvagable, but dont know if it would be a waste of time.

Lee bullets are not going to cause a brass case to corrode. Pictures would be helpful to see what you are talking about.
