I have had the Glock 20 for quite awhile now and love it.
I have put a lot of rounds through it.
Mostly reloads. They have not been "target" loads.

I find the 20 "Flippy" but not punishing or hard to control.
It gets back on target as quick as just about anything else (within reason).

That being said... how does the 29 act?
I have been wanting one since I got the 20.
I want it for a carry pistol.

I keep a 380 in the truck at all times.
It fits my watch pocket in my jeans and anywhere else.
It is very easy to keep on me, but.... I really would like a bit more capacity & Umph.
I don't want a 9mm or a 40.
Nothing against those, but i already have & load for the 10mm and love it.

What are you folks that actually shoot one liking or disliking?

Thanks.

Put a heavier recoil spring in and roll with it. I put a 22lb in my 20 and it took the flip out. Buddy did a 24 in his 29 but I feel that's a little to heavy to be reliable and cycle lighter loads.

I have 2, G29's, and carry them often. I have been carrying my G20 mostly now, due to the added political climate and higher capacity mags. But the G29 is a great, small pistol for a CCW. I must have the Pearce grip extender on the 10 round magazine to get my last finger on the grip. The added control is very noticeable. The G29 is a lot to hold on to if you rattle off multiple rounds quickly. I like the pistol, and I have carried it for years. The velocity loss going to the shorter barrel was surprisingly small. It still packed a big punch in a small package. The holster I use will fit the G20, G29, G40 and G21 (45 ACP), so I switch around the pistols as I want to. I also bought the Lone Wolf G29 barrel and a Lone Wolf 6" barrel for the G20. The accuracy was an improvement. But the Lone Wolf barrel has a much tighter chamber, and my normal 10mm load runs a little hot in it, which I don't like. It messed up the extractor on one of my G20's (I have 2, G20's, and 1, G40).

The 180 and 200 XTP bullets shoot the best in the factory Glocks. I have played with the 155 XTP and the Nolser 150 JHP. The 150's are fast, but they do not shoot near as good as the 180 and 200. I have killed several pigs with the 200 XTP, and they were one shot kills and very impressive. The ammo I shoot is the same ammo that I sell on my website. I load the ammo as good as I can for myself and to sell. I do not like loading handgun ammo, but the 10mm ammo market was very poor on good ammo choices, so that's why I load it. It is loaded to max pressures to be fired out of factory pistols. Other factory 10mm ammo is a 10mm +P (higher pressure), and will certainly wreck a factory Glock, like I did mine with the extractor. You get FTF and FTE problems when you get the ammo too hot. Plus the groups opened way up. When you run a normal book max 10mm load, they shoot good, have good velocity, and function perfectly. I did a lot of testing to come up with the right load combo's.

I changed the sights but that has been about it. Mine likes Hornady 180 XTP and I bought a couple of cases. I shot a yote at 74 yards with my 29. That is my longest handgun kill. My 20 gets a dose of 220 Hard Cast and I changed the spring out to a Glockmiester 22 lbs Stainless Steel spring and guide rod.

Really happy with my 29.

Thank you for the replies.

The 180 XTP's have also been working well for me.

I have a Cross Breed that I use for CC. I have something similar that came with the G21 I bought, but I do not know the name brand. I'm really pleased with the Cross Breed. It's either the Super Tuck Deluxe or the Mini Tuck, one of those.
