First off this is the biggest 8 I have had on camera on my little East Texas lease.

Saying that I have north and west neighbors that hunt and we have talked about letting young deer walk. But last year proved they were just talk. They just look for legal east Texas bucks unfortunately. Sadly nothing I can do about that, but seeing this makes me wonder, do I let him walk to see if he ages. His brows look just like the brows on the 10 I stalked last year, 50% shorter on the right side.

Sorry in advance all I have are night time pics (which are all far off and blurry until tonight), still waiting on cool weather.

I was using the other pics as reference, I think the top pic is him as well but just the camera taking a blurry pic. The time and direction of travel make sense. The middle pic is just a guess

That's a great buck. I'd say if you like him shoot him. Sounds like the neighbors would.

Yeah, I believe I would shoot him. If he fancies you, don't worry about what others think, hunting shouldn't become a "WWThfD"

It should be something that gets you excited and you are happy with. Don't overthink it. I get the concept of building up age and deer herd, but in small east Texas lease, it isn't going to happen.

Agreed. Not to concerned with WWthfD, but am curious about the possibility of growth based off age

Now saying that if I get the opportunity I don't think it will matter smile
