We have hunted with Rick back in 2013 for blackbuck and had great success! He was polite, very nice and went above and beyond for us to get us on a animal. We saw many red deer, axis, and blackbuck while hunting.

After reading all of this, I am interested in booking a hunt with Rick. For my nephew. God Bless.

Gladesgator (Rick) -- maybe you need to start vetting your hunters! I think if you read through here on THF you might have learned what you needed to know before that 'tv star' ever showed up...

I learned the hard way in the beginning giving away alot of free hunts for advertisement. I got almost no business from the shows even with them being well know people on popular channels. Now when we film I charge full price and the serious ones have the sponsors and backing to pay. If I get a lot of business from the show ill take care of them when they come back to film again in the future. In this business it's all word of mouth and reviews.

The "tv star" comment made me think of a Tracks Across Africa episode I recorded long ago. Chunky dude, a client, with a Crocodile Dundee hat talked non-stop to the camera. He was Ruark/Hemingway in the flesh with his expensive double. Then, a young elephant bull mock-charged the PH and this guy was following right behind. For whatever reason, the PH decided to throw his ash bag at him and then the bull decided he was really coming. The cameraman had authentic balls of steel 'cause he caught the client quickly exiting stage right, as fast as his little feets could carry him. rofl It was like watching a Laurel and Hardy movie, or Vaudeville. I wish I still had it recorded. I watched it over and over in slow-mo. roflmao (The bull, sadly, was put down by the PH. These things happen. There was no other option at that point.)

"I am not doing this for "free hunts." This is a pure promotional video for each ranch that we film at. I have a lot of cost that goes into every episode. Time, gas, lodging, food, labor, equipment, then the several days of editing to put it all together."

"The services were for the ranch.. And you had a paid hunt. for the second animal that was to be killed.... A kill was part of the deal to finalize the promotional video for your ranch."

Sounds like you are doing it to get free hunts. Social media "Promoters"..."Influencers"...everyone has a hunting show these days...99% suck. Eat a bowl of phallus. Get you an Only Fans page and sell feet pics.

So you decided to join a forum and revive a 4 year old thread just to say that? Either you are Rick or you are his best friend.

How many ranches actually fall for this? It is not hard to shoot and edit a video.
So if I go buy 2500.00 worth of camera and batteries I can hunt for free on game ranches and trophy whitetail ranches every year?

Yea get a real job and pay for your hunts.

Rick aka Gladesgator appears to have met the one and only Coco Joe and also dodged a bullet. His videos have always been terrible, his shot placement questionable at best, and is only doing this “promotional video” to support his YouTube channel to try and get a pay check and free merchandise from no-name “sponsors.”

Is Rick still doing hunts? I hunted with him a few years ago , me and a buddy went, stayed in Nacogdoches as Rick had no lodging at that time.

As hunting luck would have it. we didn't get our does but saw everything else. Rick tried VERY hard to get us our game.

When we left, he REFUSED to take his entire payment !!! I insisted because he tried so hard. He still wouldn't take it. In fact, while driving the ranch, we got the truck stuck BAD in a sinkhole. He told us to hunt the fenceline we were on, and he walked back , got his tractor and got his truck unstuck.
Good guy.

Now, as far as filming hunts...BULLCHIT.....we have enough crappy shows on TV now. Too many "Bubba" hunt TV shows on now. The wanna be TV producers need to admit it and go get a real job.
