Saw a lot more ducks today than I usually see this time of year. Teal and big ducks. Glad too see it!

I'll agree! 2 weeks ago not too many. Took a bike ride yesterday and saw more mallards on a local lake then I saw all last year.

Hopefully it will be a good youth weekend. Last year was just OK she got 2 woodies. Didn't see any migrating ducks.

Honestly, I have put on over 2,000 miles driving around Central Texas I have seen exactly 2 mud hens in the last 2 week.

I am afraid it's going to be another late migration unless we get some real cold fronts soon. We never really got our normal push of widgeons into central Texas that we normally get, and I assume they stalled out north of here? Hoping for better migration this year(we have good conditions) but not holding my breath.

already having some gadwalls and spoonies showing, still some bwt and the usual resident woodies. And this is on very very little water. should get interesting when I start flooding in the coming week.

Decent to good numbers of birds already down on the Texas Coastal prairie. Lots of teal, some pintails and other big ducks along with specks and a few snows already.
