For hunting, 115 Fusion, 120 SST or 90 Gold Dot.

The SST factory loads guys have brought out my range shot impressively consistent. And the SST has tons of good reports as a killing bullet.

My RRA loves the Federal 115gr. I've taken 9 deer with 9 shots.

I'm usually a Hornady fan, but the 115 Fusions impressed the heck out of me.

Mine shoots 110 v-max the best but I've never hunted with them. Do the v-max perform like the a-maxes?

Maybe Today.

Per the 68 forum banana , the Hornady 120 SST is the go to round and it has been the best in the 3 6.8s I've owned. I've also shot the Hornady 110 match which shot nearly as well, 115 Fusions which shot well in 2 of 3 rifles and I tried the 90 Gold Dots and SSA 115 OTM which were the worst in my rifles. I use 120 SST in my hand loads.

I've been using SSA 110g Accubond for several years.

Another vote for Federal Fusion. And the Remington Accutips ( I think ) shoot to almost the same point as the Fusion in my gun.

Seems like lots of folks are shooting the 90 gr GD/Bonded bullet; XM68GD, and the 120 SST.
