We had a large lease in that area for years... We had tons of luck with dove in the area but the deer population was very small.
Life passes most people by while they're busy making grand plans for it. www.ottfamilyjewelry.comGreat prices on chains, bracelets, and rings.

when I was out there about 5 years ago, hogs where plentiful. Deer where more scattered, turkey population was great, small quail population on the lease we had.

Probably more hogs then anything we moved off a lease because we couldn't keep them in check and they ran all the deer off.

I hunted Mulberry Canyon about 4-5 years ago. Shot 17 hogs and a couple doe. Bucks were there, but didn't find any I wanted to shoot. Lots of hogs if you have any water.

Was able to get on a small lease (160acres) but never hunted this area. Lots of signs but not hearing great things about deer hunting-so far that is. Jumped on the lease for it being year round, maybe can get a variety of action for the kids; hogs, predator hunting, MAYBE turkey, so if it produces a deer or 3, bonus.

I took this one south of Merkel. Nice 6 point cull. The deer population was small, but the dove and hog hunting more than made up for it.
coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

Had a lease just south of Merkel for a year. Pretty much the same as everyone else ... lots of hogs and turkey. Deer weren't near as plentiful. Lease was cheap and a good group of guys, Just with there were more deer in the area.
