 Got my first bow kill!

My buddy took me down to his ranch in South Texas this weekend for my first bow hunt. I got a Matthews Z7 for Christmas last year and have been practicing all year waiting for this day! It was just a doe but was so cool to be up close and personal with the deer. We had a group of hogs come out right at day light before the feeder came out. My buddy shot a nice eating size pig first and we dragged it back behind the stand. 15 minutes later two doe walked out right after the feeder went off. She finally turned broad side at 25 yards and I let it fly!! I shot her with a Slash Arrow and she dropped right in her tracks! I'm pretty sure I have no desire to ever shoot a deer with a rifle again. Anyhow, I can't thank my friend enough for letting me shoot a deer. Some of my best memories are from deer camp and this is definitely one I will not forget! Nothing beets spending time with good friends!

Good job and well done on your first kill. And just so you know, it ain't always that easy. Very rare for a deer to drop in her tracks. You will mostly likely find the next one will teach you the subtle art of TRACKING. Get ready to have some real fun.
