Kelly and I are in our 3rd season and we're finally starting to turn past mistakes into successful hunts. It's amazing how much you learn over a short period of time and it sure feels good when plans come together. So far we've managed to harvest a 4 point muley, a white-tail doe and an absolutely stunning 7x7 bull elk up here in British Columbia. Wow! What a year.
Admittedly, the elk was a result of being in the right place at the right time, but that's all part of it right? The more time you put in, the more likely you are to eventually see something spectacular.
This forum has been an amazing resource for us and we sure are lucky to live in an age where we can connect with so many people that are willing to share advice. Thanks to all of you!
We've been documenting our journey on a podcast which you can check out from the links in the signature. Episodes 18 and 19 detail these last few successful hunts. Cheers guys, and good luck out there!!

Nice job on two animals. Unfortunately, you are now addicted for life, so just sit back and enjoy the ride. It's been one heck of a trip for me. Seen things, gone places, met new lifelong friends. Opening morning....so much better than Christmas.

Thanks, Mr. T! I think it's safe to say that I'm completely addicted! The things we've seen and experienced over the past two years have been absolutely incredible and I can only imagine what's next. The deep connection to the outdoors and the food we've harvested is beyond anything you could ever explain to a non-hunter. Nothing better!

Y'all have some spectacular country up there. B C is probably the prettiest place I've ever seen. Awesome bull too!

Thanks, Earthkid! I'm definitely lucky to call British Columbia home, but you guys have some amazing terrain down there as well. A desert hunt is high on my list, so hopefully I'll get to do some exploring down south in the near future.

Wow what a magnificent Bull Elk congratulations cheers

Spent some time up in the great northwest back in the 90's. Started off outside Portland Or. Drove up to Port Angeles, ferry to Victoria drove up Vancouver Island to BC Island ferries north of Nanaimo then ferried over to Horseshoe Bay, went to Whistler ski (incredible) then down to Victoria (city), Seattle then Portland. One of the most amazing time spent in stunningly beautiful country!

Good post keep the pictures and stories coming up
