Today I shot my newly acquired Colt Delta Elite (10mm) from my tree stand (no rest) at 25 yards. Fairly happy with my shooting. Tree stand is a little over 12 feet high and I was standing while taking the shot. I seem to be more accurate from the stand with the Colt than my Glock 40. A little bit more practice from the stand and I'm hoping I can tighten the group a little. The Colt Delta Elite (newer model) is a pleasure to shoot and the factory trigger seems pretty nice for out of the box. Looking forward to taking a nice Whitetail buck or Axis for my first time with a hand gun this year.

I am gonna hunt with my Glock 21 this year some. Occasionally I will see one come up on Texasguntrader for a reasonable price.

That's a good gun. I like to carry my 1911 in a chest holster from Diamond D.

Handloads or factory?
Are the current Colt's/Delta's any different in chamber support the older models?
My bucket list has had a 10 for a long time, G20's are solid, but the Colt's sure are easy on the eyes.
Know a person who dumped a Doe with a Dan Wesson Bobtail using a 175 Silvertip, ran a short ways, bullet classic mushroom.
Do the DE's shoot as accurate as the Gold Cup? Different trigger quality, or just sights?
What are the differences in the older DE and new XE?

What are the differences in the older DE and new XE? The older ones did have a frame cracking issue until Colt machined a frame relieve cut in the slide that took care of the issue. I favor my new model Delta Elite over my Glock G40 and my old G20. I am more accurate with the Colt. As far as more accurate than a Gold Cup, I don't know, perhaps someone else on the forum can filed that question.

Good luck! I will be in the woods with my Glock 20 with a Lone Wolf 6.5" barrel. I broke 2 early Delta Elites, but my Glock just keeps running.
