Was lucky enough to get an invite up to ND last weekend for the opener of pheasant season. We had a blast and my Drahthaar was in heaven even after the 19 1/2 hour drive up there eek

If you ever get a chance I highly recommend making the trek up-

Here's a few pics

Dang, Justin. You killed them. I didn't know you were on here. Thought you were a tried and true stick slinger. I see you're still wearing that Waggoner cap.

I would love to take my cockers on a trip like that. That would be a blast and the weather looks just right when you were there. Congrats!

Those RuffTuff dog boxes are awesome also. I have 2 of them.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

LOL, yessir I'm a bit of a lurker over here smile

It's amazing what having a good bird dog will do to your hunting priorities, normally I'd be sitting in a tree stand instead of driving for 4 days to chase ditch chickens and grouse!

And yep the Waggoner cap has treated me well....that dude is poison to pheasants! I bet it has witnessed over 300 now meet their maker, you know where 200 of them were grin

Yessir, mostly corn, some canola and alfalfa hedge rows. We were about an hour NE of Dickinson.

We were supposed to be sleeping in York NE this evening on a trip to Gregory SD. Unfortunately the other 3 on the trip all cancelled on me. frown

Man that's a heck of a drive for a weekend. I hunt about 2 hours north west of Dickinson every year

Did anybody talk about a good pheasant outfitter when you were up there?

I was wondering about the rainfall in that part of the world.
Did you see a lot of hens?
