Anyone hunt or live in/near Tyler county? My family has had land there ever since I can remember. I used to go up there with my pops twice a month during the season, but over the last 6 years I've only managed to make it once a season. I plan on this year being different. Anyone seen any decent deer or hog sign up there? How's the accor crop coming this year?

I live in Polk County but work in Tyler County. I see plenty of deer on 190 between Woodville and the AC Reservation in Polk County. I was working nights in August and saw a very nice 10pt in a field just south of town two nights in a row. Lots of deer out near 256 and the air port. The only hogs I've seen live off Phillips St behind the High School. I'm sure there are plenty elsewhere.

My place is NNW of Woodville off of 1745 between Chester and Colmesneil. Last year I was only able to make a trip up during October due to my wife being pregnant and close to due. I wasn't going to take a chance hunting with no cell service and having my wife go into labor. I did see 2 pretty decent fairly young bucks when I was there. One was a maybe for AR restricitons and the other I would have shot had it been rifle season. also saw plenty of hog sign in varying stages of freshness, but no hogs. Since I don't get to make it up there very often I don't really care what comes in front of the sights (buck, doe or hog) just so long as it's legal and big enough to put some meat in the freezer!
