You guys seen these deer towers made from old gasoline tanks? A little pricey, but with sleeping quarters and ATV storage, they seem like a great idea: Ultradeertowers.com

Those are very cool, and not too pricey. I'm considering a 10' for my second blind. At ~1,500 it costs about what I was planning to spend.

These are very well built stands. Quality in every detail. I've seen/been in hundreds of them up to 30' with multiple levels. All come standard with DeerView Windows as well.

How heavy would a 10' blind be? I wonder about set up.

I think the site said a standard 15' is just over 1100 lbs. I would say the 10 footer is around 900?

I just talked with him, super nice guy. Depending on how it's customized, they run about 85 to 100 pounds a foot. My 10' will weigh in at about 900 pounds. Way easier to set up than I figured, just drag it off the trailer until it tilts, and then two guys can easily stand it up. You want custom, add a sleeping loft above the hunting platform, add a heater, propane sits under floor, add an A/C unit and run it off solar. If you had big bucks, you could live in one. Hot water and shower, no problem.

Don't know how I missed these. I think I'll pick a half dozen to try out at the ranch before buying enough for the whole place.

I hunted in one back in the 90's (not mine) They are very nice and tons of room. The one I was in had a concrete floor, didn't budge in the wind one bit. Don't know if this outfit built it or not, but it was nice for a set it and forget it "club house". Was about 20' tall with 2 levels.

He's slick, real nice on the phone, but don't believe him, now that he has my money its one excuse after another, he's too busy, equipment failure, weather, he's going to deliver in 2 weeks but then never does. I'm out big bucks... THOUSANDS of dollars $.

I had the same experience as Texas Farmer. It took me exactly one year to get mine, and it wasn't one of the fancy models. I called just about every month and got the same sad story as Tx Farmer. It is really a neat stand but he is going to hurt his business by not being honest with the customers.

Here's mine - ![](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/usergals/2015/08/full-10648-38658-image.jpg) But Dan had a guy screaming about his 12' blind so I let him give him my finished 12' blind. In return, Dan is upgrading me to a 20' blind. I'll add a couple more options to the bigger blind, a floor on the ground deck, twin sleeper decks and windows in lower section. He delivers it in October. That's fine cause the site is not ready yet. Work week is in September. It'll be done then. Dan was storing my 12' blind in return for using it as a model.

Yeah I hear my blind is nice too & I hear he has been using mine as a model too but that's not what we agreed upon, when I ordered it part of our deal was to get it here last year 2014 , he swore he would.

Everybody should get what they pay for ! Too bad it took so long. I heard mine is real nice too. Seems we are not the only ones who had some trouble. See below what a member on a different Forum said just days ago about ultra deer towers: "Three guys on our lease went through the same thing. Two got them 8 months after they were supposed to, that was three months AFTER season. One guy still doesn't have his, been over a year".
