I haven't shot my Burris XTR II 4-20x50 yet but I think it's a best bang for your buck. I know Jason has done a review on the 3-15 Burris & liked it. And the Burris illum. looks way better than the SHV!!!!! bolt

I have the same one as LFD, only shot to 425 with it so far and I'm very pleased. Ive never handled a SHV so i can't give a comparison, sorry.

I was in the same situation not long ago and ended up buying a used Gen1 vortex Razor HD. Im very please with my Razor. Picked it up for $1,250-$1,300 (can't remember lol) with seekins rings.

I love my SHV....good glass, but more importantly it tracks perfectly and is rugged as hell. I beat it up for four days in the mountains, and on the last day never even thought for a second that it might have been knocked off zero. And at 550yrds it hit the mark. Those to facts about nightforce make them worth it all day.
