Yes H-4350.
Chad would know better than me. I'd think to stay in the same burn rate as H-4350, but your talking another powder than can get hard to find, H-Varget. I've never used another powder for 6.5 Creedmoor, so I really can't say. H-4895?

what powder would use in a situation where there is zero H4350 available? If you look at a burn rate chart, most anything in the burn rate area of H4350 will work fine. IMR's new 4451 would be great, even IMR 4350. Alliant's R16 would work, and 4000MR. http://www.hodgdon.com/PDF/Burn%20Rates%20-%202015-2016.pdf

IMR-4451 is a good substitute for H-4350. Lots of 6.5 shooters going to it.

AA4350 is another good replacement for H4350. I also use Reloader 17 and Reloader 19,My most accurate load is with Reloader 19,the velocity just isn't as high.

Creedmoor makes more velocity, brass is less expensive, and I have lots of it, as well as the dies.
But you'll never see me write anything negative about the 6.5 X 47. It is a fantastic cartridge with a crazy low ES.

6.5 CM about 50-75 fps MV faster shooting 140 gr bullets in each.
I'm on 5 firings on my brass, annealing every two, primer pockets are fine.

Great info on here. I might have to try IMR-4451 as H4350 is getting harder to find for me at least.

Bartlein stainless, 1:8.5" twist, M-24 contour, finished at 25".
My bud, Tony did it. For the new Tikka barrel do you need a specific type of barrel like for Savage rifles?

My Older Brother loves his 6.5, but has managed to 'get all the good' out of his factory barrel (Ruger Precision Rifle). He has a Broughton Match Grade barrel on order. We are looking forward to getting it installed and broken in.
He really likes the 6.5 Creedmoor for long range shooting.

Pick what you want on bugholes.com, take new barrel and action to the gunsmith and tell him what you want it chambered in. When that route is taken the barrel nut goes away on a Savage.
