Welcome,
Your story reminds me of my Grandads Funeral. He is at the base of some ceder trees, He passed at 2:00 in the morning on December 26th (over 25 years ago) The funeral was on a cold cloudy day, but at the grave side service a big flock of ducks flew directly over us. Several folks commented that he would have loved that.

Thank You
Robert

Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. I lost my Dad when he was 51. I feel cheated out of a lot of his time. Good intro, and prayer to you, lad.

Lost my dad in '97. He too was only 57 and left the world way too soon. He's buried in a grove of live oaks near my house.

Welcome to the forum.

Yeah we put dad in his favorite spot. Officially he's at the military cemetery in San Antonio but we visit this place every spring.

Dang! Makes me tear up just thinking about it. We feel your loss.
