Man, I tell you. The last three years have been totally different teams. Charlie's first year the defense had some studs. They would play hard for the first half, but got no help from Watson and his fast speed offense.the only thing fast about that offense was how fast they got off the field. Swoops was a deer in the headlights.
Last year the team would just quit, but if they got some momentum going they would do what you didn't think they could do.
This year they fight and play hard. They just don't know how to win. Young team with no senior leadership. I thought they would win 8 games this year, but that's not likely. Oh well.
That's a pretty dang good synopsis.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Anyone going to the game? Should be a pretty physical game, and a bit of a rivalry. Especially since UT beat them at their house last year, then stole 4 of their recruits. It would be nice to knock them from the undefeated ranks.

Thought about picking up some tickets on stubhub, but too much going on around here this weekend. If UT were in a better position and had a better record, I probably would have.

It's hotter then I thought it was gonna be, but we have a good breeze. Pretty good corky game. Will see how it pans out. We could see the hopes of the big 12 go up in smokes today.

Here we go. It will be interesting to see if Texas poor defense can slow down that hi powered offense. Foreman should be able to run for 250 yards but I don't think that'll be enough, Texas needs stops.
Does anyone know why Texas Tech throws tortillas at The Players?

Good thing they squeaked it out, but what the hell with the offensive play calling in the second half, especially on that last drive? You have a 3rd and 1 to seal the game and two downs to get it. You take the best player in the stadium, the one who ran for 330+ yards already, OUT of the game and bring in Swoopes where the whole stadium knows where it's going and get stuffed twice in a row.
Lucky it didn't cost them the game.
