So Ive been contemplating doing another SBR. But on this one, Ive been thinking a lot about a .308 SBR. There has probably been a thread on this before, but humor me, as I cant seem to find one. What are yalls opinions on this. Barrel length issues? Cycle issues?

I was thinking about it a while ago. Hell still think about it often rofl.

Had a thread of what I should do between an 308 SBR and a 300BLK SBR.

Shot with a guy at a competition a couple months back who had a G3 SBR with a muzzle brake on it. Every shot felt like it was cleaning my sinuses with a chisel.

Ballistically, I think it's a poor idea. For a fun gun, I think it'd be great.

I'm waiting on a stamp for a 10.5" 7mm08. I'm for it.

A suppressor will fix that.

Guy shooting one next to me. I could literally feel my teeth move when he shot. Not fun.

It ain't easy being me.

12.5 or 10.5? Will I not get full powder burn in a shorter length?

You switch to a faster burning powder. Chad pointed me to IMR 8208 for 16" .308, and it is perfect. Not sure if he'd recommend the same powder for an SBR.

I have a PTR sbr 8" 308 that is not practical but a lot of fun to shoot. It has a flash hider so other than loud there is no concussion when shooting. I'd stay away from any brake on a short 308
