There is an M1A Scout Squad that sort of has my attention. I don't really have the spare cash for an outright purchase, but the seller is interested in my Daniel Defense M4V1.

I already have two .308 rifles; a bolt action Savage and a M&P 10. However, I also have two PSA AR15s that are pretty well dressed. Both of my sons have AR15s also.

Although I like plinking with the .223s, they really don't give me the fizz like a .308 does.

Just curious about what others think.

None of that really appeals to me, but if you are hesitant then I think it's a sign you really don't want to commit to acquiring the rifle.

Can't really say. It's all in the eyes of the beholder. You either do or you don't.

Daniel Defense makes a nice rifle, but it's an AR just like your other ones. If I was in the same situation, I'd trade the DD for whatever I wanted, and be fine shooting a PSA.

If you are happy with it go for it.

That's the way I'm leaning. I hate to get rid of a rifle I really like; but the PSA rifles have been just as dependable. They are also dressed up a bit nicer. I'd really rather give up a few pistols that I don't use, but think that I might have to move quickly before this particular rifle is gone.

If it was exactly the M1A I was looking for, then I would probably do the trade.

I guess it became a moot point. I thought the seller and I had agreed on a trade and a meeting. When I contacted him to confirm the Saturday morning meeting, he informed me the rifle had been sold.

Several experiences like this over the past few years has really worn me out on doing any type of trading or individual transactions. I can think of at least ten flakes, and there were surely a few more.

the other side of that coin is "you the seller think its a done deal, when time to do the deal, the buyer is out" not implying that you would do that, its happened to me.
